certainly continued that tradition. First of all, the hoops. Downs brings a ton of energy to the floor and takes pride in his defense. He’s greatly improved as an all around athlete as well. Now the good stuff. If a college coach wants a locker room asset, this is your guy. Downs is a great student and an amazing person that will be a great representation of your program.

I was lucky enough to see Downs play a few times this past grassroots season and it was obvious that his name needed to go up the list. He’s always been a terrific energy player and a huge asset as a perimeter defender. But the growth in his offensive game over the last 8 months or so has been incredible. Downs is physically stronger and so much more aggressive with the ball. A college coach could get a steal adding Downs to their program.

Downs has made huge strides in the last calendar year. He’s always been an elite high energy perimeter defender. Downs could pressure the ball and force mistake with his relentlessness on that end of the floor. This summer he showed vast improvement offensively. He hit jumpers with 3 point range and was able to create of the bounce. Downs is a terrific 2 way player primed for a big season.

Downs is a coach’s dream in all honesty. He just wants to win and is willing to make any adjustment needed to do so. A perfect example is when scouts and coaches noticed him grinding on the defensive end at the Top 250. He did it because his coaches needed him to.
