Mikey started the game at center, winning the tip-off. But he played more like a guard. He played until late in the third quarter, never missing a beat, and playing with high energy. Most of his points came from the paint, where he either would finish strong at the rim or draw a foul and would make most of his free-throws.
Mikey electrified the crowd with his physical play, even throwing down two dunks. He was active on the boards, grabbing multiple offensive rebounds and often putting the ball back up—unless he spotted an open teammate beyond the arc.
He was constantly setting off-ball screens and was usually the first on his team to get back on defense. He also showed his defensive presence with a couple of impressive blocks. When he checked out of the game, he earned a well-deserved standing ovation from the Greenfield-Central fans.

, Johnson is averaging 13.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game. Real long, smooth, and create both on and off the ball. Greenfield-Central will look to improve on their 18-3 record when they travel to East Central on Friday and then host Martinsville on Saturday.

After leading Southport in scoring as a junior, this lanky 6’2″ guard has slid over to Greenfield-Central High School and is currently averaging 14.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 2.2 steals per game for the Class 4A #2 Cougars. Johnson earned an offer from IU-East while on a visit on Monday.

. While the Cougars have only played one game thus far, Johnson had a great game of 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. Johnson is a player that adds a whole new dynamic to this Greenfield-Central team and is a great backcourt addition to Braylon MullinsBraylonMullins

Johnson is set for a big senior season. After leading Southport in scoring as a junior, the 6’2″ guard has transferred to Greenfield-Central High School for his senior year. He is incredibly long which makes him consistently disruptive defensively. On the offensive end, Johnson plays with good pace and can create his own shot in the mid-range and when exploding downhill to the rim. Small college coaches should be getting involved with this two-way perimeter threat.
When it comes to in-state transfers that took place over the spring/summer, I think a strong case can be made for Johnson being one of the top ones. He is transferring over to Greenfield-Central for his senior season and adds a ton of versatility to an already loaded Cougar team. Real long, smooth, and create both on and off the ball. He has a chance to turn some heads at IU-Indy camp.
