Max had the most dominant performance I saw all weekend in Team Hudson’s first game. He had a double-double in the first half, dominating the painted area. He grabbed a number of offensive boards, as no player could match his physicality on finishes at the rim. Mohning easily looks like a top-10 player in the state’s 2030 class and has the strength and skill to possibly make an immediate impact at the varsity level as a freshman.

Max showed flashes of what he could become as a point forward kind of prospect, displaying advanced ball handling skills for his size and age. He was one of the tallest players on the floor and used his size to hold down the painted area on both sides of the ball. His athleticism makes him an exceptional rebounder, converting on a couple second chance baskets through contact. I really like the long-term potential of Mohning.
