He does not play like an 8th grader and he is the perfect point guard to have run an offense. He has a tight handle and a lightning quick first step, which he was using to blow by defenders, making great reads to find open teammates on the perimeter or use his touch around the basket when he got inside. Hudson is a sniper from deep and was drilling triples from well beyond the three-point line off the dribble as well.

Carter is coming off of a Class 2A State Championship with Minnehaha and was playing up at the 16U level this past weekend. Another elite point guard in this 2030 class, as he is an elite passer and scorer. He was creating so much offense for his team, showing off his vision, especially when pushing the pace in transition. He was also great in the pick and roll, making the right read just about every time. Cupito is a capable three-level scorer as well.

Max showed flashes of what he could become as a point forward kind of prospect, displaying advanced ball handling skills for his size and age. He was one of the tallest players on the floor and used his size to hold down the painted area on both sides of the ball. His athleticism makes him an exceptional rebounder, converting on a couple second chance baskets through contact. I really like the long-term potential of Mohning.

Tayden has one of the highest ceilings of any 2030 prospect in Minnesota, displaying many different skills that caught my eye. The 8th grader is probably around 6'2”-6'3” and looked comfortable playing either of the guard spots. He could handle the ball and create opportunities for himself off the dribble. He showed he can stretch the floor, as he is a confident shooter. Clark is another player on Team Hudson that looks like they could be an elite prospect down the line.

David was fun to watch in a backcourt with Hudson, as they both have a similar skillset. Hicks is dynamic with the ball in his hands, possessing a deep shooting range and a quick first step that he can use to work around his defender. He has a very tight handle and helped set up his teammates for good looks. Hicks could also play off the ball, being a knock down shooter off the catch.

I've seen Traesyn play a couple times now and he did a great job playing his role for Team Hudson this past weekend. He is a bigger body for his age and used that to be a difference maker inside. He is great on the boards and plays very unselfishly, finding his guards coming off of offensive and defensive rebounds. James is a great interior scorer as well.

Graham was the biggest player on this stacked Team Hudson roster, using his size to his advantage. He is a great interior defensive presence, using his length to alter opponents shots and grab contested rebounds. I was also really impressed with the 6'6” 8th graders ability to play on the perimeter, looking comfortable knocking down a three-pointer off the catch. Fox looks like a potential stretch big that any team would want to have.
