When we talk rankings boost, Markus will be in the top few when it comes to guys flying from one spot to the next. At 6’5/6’6, agile and aggressive, this is a double double guy that could also be a very good defender. Markus led Osseo in rebounding last year and if he plays to his potential he will do that, and being of the top scorers on the team this winter.

Another player with size to put on the map right now. Markus was a helpful player for Osseo last year but based on what we saw this weekend, Markus has the potential be a six active possession scores a game guy that leads his team in rebounds and always plays with energy. Markus is a big kid that moves well with much more potential than expected.

Markus had a breakout performance at The Expo on Saturday, dominating the paint on both ends of the floor. He was one of the bigger prospects in this matchup, using his size and length to finish around the basket efficiently. He also held down the interior on defense, constantly blocking and altering shots. Kure-O’Reilly looks to be in for a huge senior season at Osseo and a prospect that will rise up the ranks in the state’s 2027 class.

Markus is a big kid that moves pretty well. Ran the floor both ways to help his team starting with the offensive end where his floor run and cuts were ahead of the defense. Was at the foul line a number of times (touch looked good there!) and he finished against other size using his strong frame. Worked hard defensively and was quality on the glass, I think he is a player that could have a big senior season.

Markus was running with Forward Thinking this past weekend and had a well rounded performance in the one game I saw. He has a long 6’5” frame and was coming away with tons of rebounds on both ends of the floor. He was able to chase down an offensive rebound, then go up with a putback layup for an and-one. Markus did most of his work inside, but showed flashes of being an impact player on the perimeter.

Markus had some nice flashes of potential on Sunday afternoon at East Ridge. At 6’5 he has a long and lanky frame, moves well at his size, and is more than just a big body you put in the post. Markus took a defensive rebound and went coast-to-coast for a dunk on one play, showing he can handle it in the open floor while having the explosive pop to make plays above the rim. Defensively he used his long frame to alter shots around the basket as well.

Long frame that works swiftly in the gaps of the 1/2 court zone. Makes nice reads on the catch whether it’s at the elbow or the short corner. Catches and faces with poise ensuring defenders draw near for a kickout. Made a couple cross court passes for easy 3 point assists from different spots of Zone O. Remained active on the glass on both ends of the court. Really liked to see his quick anticipation and instincts to the ball. Defensively will apply pressure with longer strides on smaller bodies and was successful at staying in front. Talked on switches or stays and wasn’t afraid to get on the floor for loose balls. Made a couple clean blocks and picked off passes which all turned into fast break opportunities. Showed positive tenacity for the first early morning game on the last day of the tournament.
