Ruth is the guy who gets the Silver Knights into their offense and provides the most rim pressure with his off the bounce ability. Ruth is an old school point guard with his bigger frame, toughness and patience with the ball in his hands. Ruth holds an offer from Ohio Dominican and is also being recruited by numerous Division III programs around the state.

Handles the ball very well and runs the Bishop Ready offense very well. He has a nice mid-range pull-up game. He also showed some really good back-to-the-basket bag. He makes good moves in that position and made some great passes out of the post. He came out in the second half trying to put the game away for Ready. Was aggressive and had a huge second half to close out the big-time Central Catholic League win.

Ruth had a big game as Bishop Ready dominated Detroit U Prep with a convincing victory. Ruth continues to show his ability to produce in a variety of settings for different teams. Ruth cuts well off the ball and got a few easy layups with backdoor cuts. I also thought he shot the 3-ball with some confidence, with an impressive pull-up off the bounce. Moving up to Division II from Division III will be an adjustment come playoff time, but Bishop Ready is proving they can compete in a higher Division with strong early season success.

Ruth was a member of Ohio United, another Adidas Gold squad who won some big games this summer. Ruth plays with good pace from either guard position as he’s able to beat you with his shot or off the bounce. Ruth also plays for one of the better Division III schools in the state, Bishop Ready. Ruth has shown the ability to be productive for both of these highly successful squads and seems like he can produce at the small college level as well. Colleges looking for a combo guard with a little size who helps contribute to winning should check Ruth out this winter.
