Bishop Ready is unbeaten, and a majority of the reason why is their senior trio of Schaffer, Ruth and Russell. A skilled and strong forward, Schaffer is a good outside shooter with the skill to attack you off the bounce as well. Schaffer has taken visits to numerous strong Division III programs in Wittenberg, Capital, Otterbein and Heidelberg and also received an offer from Rio Grande University in the summer. I believe Schaffer would be an instant impact player at the Division III level and could play at a scholarship level as well. Bishop Ready continues to find ways to win and after a gritty conference victory over Saint Charles to secure the conference crown, the Silver Knights got another impressive win over another Division II contender. Schaffer and Charlie Russell Charlie Russell 6'5" | PF Bishop Ready | 2023 State OH were both huge as both had buzzer-beater 3-pointers in the first half. Schaffer also punished switches in the post and scored with his back to the basket. Schaffer also had a put-back tip shot in traffic that impressed me. Bishop Ready gets excellent shots and moves the ball across their trio of senior studs. Their experience and ability to not turn the ball over are major factors on why they remain unbeaten with only a few games left to play.

Schaffer has one of the highest motors I have seen a big have. He has a good over-the-left-shoulder hook shot. He attacks the rim hard. Nice jumper on him. He started to expose the size advantage he had on Hartley. He was getting buckets at ease. He played a big role in the second half of putting this game out of reach.
