Tom Keller | Prep Hoops Scout
The skilled big man impressed with the ability to do a little big of everything for his Final 16’s EYBL squad. He is a threat from the dunker spots and also has some flashes of a post up game. He uses his reach to rebound and block shots. He was in passing lanes to get steals.

-Loved the versatility in Chwastyk’s scoring throughout this game as an effective inside-out threat for a Team Final group that really pushed the pace. He started things off with B2B putback dunks as a big that was really difficult to keep off the glass, scored off a hard roll to the basket for an AND1 bucket, knocked down a C+S 3 from the wing on his only attempt from the perimeter on the night, and scored with the putback on 5/6 of his offensive rebounds. His physicality and footwork have improved to not only carve out space on the glass but create better finishing angles around the basket, and his ability to finish through contact was huge in Final coming away with a gritty win.

Despite the lopsided score, Chwastyk showed he more than belonged while putting together a hard-earned 18-point performance. Matched up with an undersized frontcourt, he was effective using his length and burgeoning athleticism and physicality to go to work around the basket. He was able to create his own shot from the post or finish opportunistically off cuts or dropoff passes. Chwastyk flashed his touch and ballhandling ability in isolated opportunities and impressed on the defensive end with his comfort level when switched onto guards on the perimeter. With his sophomore season now in the rearview, Chwastyk continues to trend as one of the premier frontcourt prospects in his class.

The highest-upside long-term prospect in the league, if not the entire state, Chwastyk turned a massive corner this season in terms of converting potential into consistent production. A classic modern forward, he boasts a diverse inside-out skillset but was focused most of the year on punishing smaller defenders around the basket as a highly efficient finisher from a vast array of play types. Chwastyk emerged into an imposing primary rim protector and is a better rebounder than expected given what’s still a relatively thin frame. The upside is still far down the line but the current player has become a walking double-double with a mindset to dominate, which should be a scary sight for his frontcourt counterparts across the country in 2028.

Forming as dynamic a 1-2 punch as there is in the Inter-Ac, Chwastyk teamed with Harken to pound Penn Charter inside to the tune of 22 points. The highly-touted sophomore forward was effective carving out space near the basket for duck-ins or early seals, showing strong hands and swift touch as a finisher in the halfcourt. He flashed his shooting touch and showed his burgeoning athleticism on a momentum-swinging dunk to beat the third-quarter buzzer. It was seemingly just another day at the office for Chwastyk as he continues to string together productive performances and establish himself among the top sophomore forwards nationally.

Among the more highly-touted forwards nationally, Chwastyk has quickly made the transition from prospect to player after showing enticing flashes off the bench throughout his freshman year. The inside-out threat has emerged as one of the most effective frontcourt players in the area while averaging 16 points as a consistent double-double threat. He’s effective moving without the ball to work into position for easy buckets inside while also showing promising glimpses of individual shot-creation and floor-spacing ability. He runs the floor with ease and despite still being on the lighter side has developed into an impactful rebounder and rim protector already. Chwastyk is quickly developing into a prospect with the chance to be recruited at the very highest levels.

Chwastyk has been on a tear of late and added to his growing resumé with co-MVP honors over the weekend. A budding inside-out forward tailor-made for the modern game, Chwastyk had as much long-term upside as anybody in the gym while showing the full breadth of his diverse skillset. More of an interior presence in his usual team settings, the camp style offered an opportunity to showcase himself as a dangerous perimeter shooter with increasing versatility to his stroke as he mixes in attempts on the move or off the dribble that point to a scary upside at his size. Chwastyk showed positive flashes as a ballhandler and passer in the open floor while still manning the middle for emphatic dunks or blocks near the rim. As they say, the ceiling is the roof as Chwastyk continues putting the pieces together at a rapid rate.

Continuing to put the pieces together at a rapid rate, Chwastyk showed why he’s being increasingly considered among the top sophomore forwards in the country with productive outings as Malvern cruised to two wins. A quintessential modern frontcourt prospect, Chwastyk has fully embraced an inside-out style that makes for a nightmarish matchup for most defenses at this level. He was efficient on Saturday as a finisher around the rim, staying in consistent motion to make himself available for easy buckets and showcasing his increasing vertical pop on multiple dunks in traffic. Despite a relative lack of strength at this stage, Chwastyk was effective on the other end both protecting the rim and cleaning the glass. With the opponents lacking an answer for him up front, he stuck to what was working rather than trying to show off his perimeter arsenal. As he continues learning to take over games with his wide-ranging skillset, Chwastyk could continue to ascend nationally with clear upside for the highest levels.

Arguably the top overall performer we saw at camp regardless of class or position, Chwastyk put together two dominant outings while showing the full breadth of his modern inside-out skillset. As he did all EYBL season for one of the nation’s best 15U groups, the quickly-blossoming forward controlled the paint on both ends with his length, touch, athleticism, and burgeoning strength. Where he really showed off his upside was with the gradual incorporation of his perimeter game, including multiple deep jumpers off the dribble that are really atypical of players his size at this stage. As he continues blending the entirety of his vast two-way skillset, Chwastyk has a chance to emerge as one of the premier frontcourt recruits in the country in the years to come.

Chwastyk impressed with his skill showing he can be a mismatch nightmare on the offensive end. He spaced the floor and also finished around the bucket. He does a nice job running the floor. Chwastyk’s length allowed for him to alter shots and protect the rim. He continues to develop with experience.
