Larry will see an increase in minutes with all the graduations from last years squad. He did play a lot due to injuries to others and he showed his high level talent. A long and athletic wing. Uses his size to defend and also get to the rim. He can score in bunches.

Jenkins was towards the back end of the rotation but it was of no fault of the promising Sophomore. He flashed in his moments, he was very productive with second unit and just completed a massive offseason. This prospect is a break out candidate, if he does what we think he’s capable of he just might be in the CHSAA MVP discussion. Head Coach Pat Massaroni will have a ton of fun help Jenkins take the next step, he will be one of their primary scorers and despite being a Junior to he will be asked so set an example. 

The thought for the last two years is that Jenkins has a chance to be the next high level wing in the program- but he hasn’t gotten the minutes to prove it at Stepinac due to a loaded 2026 class. This year, that changes in a real way. The rangy 6-foot-8 forward steps into a front court that returns almost none of it’s production from a year ago. Senior Josh Rivera Josh Rivera 6'6" | SF Archbishop Stepinac | 2027 State #127 Nation NY will be a great piece on the wing, while a handful of guards who played real minutes over the last two years also return. If Jenkins can be an All-CHSAA type player this season, the Crusaders may remain on top of the CHSAA.

Speaking of potential, Jenkins has one of the highest ceilings of any prospect in the entire class of 2028. He blew everyone away at Iona Prep during CHSAA team camp and looked like the Crusaders #1 guy. The Junior is fearless, gets aggressive when he gets his chances and loves to compete. Expect his recruitment to sky rocket, his confidence to continue to grow and him to enter the MVP discussion. 

We expect a break out season for this long and athletic wing. He can take over games with his ability to score in bunches. Dynamic talent. Really good defender using his size and athleticism to defend.

Jenkins is a long, athletic wing who continues to develop and show why his upside is so intriguing. He impacts the game with his length and activity, making plays that don’t always show up in the box score. As he gets more comfortable, he’s starting to have a bigger impact on winning with his energy, effort, and versatility. He can defend multiple positions and use his athleticism to disrupt plays and finish in transition. Offensively, his game is coming along as he improves his confidence and decision-making. Jenkins has the tools to keep expanding his role as the season goes on.
