While the haters and doubters believe Stepinac will suffer at the lead guard we disagree. Archevald is a clutch player who’s ready to take over the offense for the Crusaders and has full trust of the coaching staff. He makes the right play, the extra, takes care of the ball and isn’t afraid of big moments. His confidence is sky high, he’s got a great IQ, understands his role and what he has to do manufacture wins for Stepinac. 

The three time champs won their fourth straight CHSAA title last season. While the entire core and starting lineup is gone there’s still plenty of hope in White Plains. A big reason why is Archevald who got great experience last year . He’s a smart playmaker who can run the offense, get others involved and isn’t afraid to take the big shot. His game continues to grow, he’s getting more comfortable with Head Coach Pat Massaroni and league better watch out or he will get the Crusaders right back to the finals. 

Jourdan received major minutes last season and you can see how much that experience has made him ready for this upcoming season. First thing you notice is he has gotten bigger. Next is the confidence level. Very crafty with the ball. Can dribble it out of trouble. Understands his role in running an offense but at the same time he picks his spots to score. Really like his awareness to draw defenders against pressure opening up the floor with a step back dribble.

The junior played aggressively from start to finish, showing a new level of confidence that will be essential this season. It’s a natural progression after spending his first few years alongside high level players. I expect him to continue producing because of his ability to make plays off the dribble, get downhill, and knock down shots effectively.

Extremely skilled and poised guard. Can play either guard spot. With an abundance of high major talent last season he fit right in running the offense. He has a natural flair for scoring the ball. Really good handle. Knows the importance of drawing defenders to him and then getting by them or finding the open man.

J Mac is currently averaging 17.9 points per game in EYCL 16U with Rens United. His upside is through the roof, and he has the tools to make a real impact heading into his high school season. 

He looked very poised and confident for a young player running an offense. He will continue to progress with his excellent skill set and has all the makings of a scoring point guard. Can score with flair and creativity. Showed the ability to drive baseline and nail pull up jumpers.

He wasn’t phased by the big moment and delivered a consistent performance, He provided solid on‑ball defense that led to a steal and a layup. He made a good transition pass to create another scoring opportunity. He stayed steady and active throughout, providing much‑needed relief and stability at the point guard position.

Archevald is a guard who’s progressing quickly and showing steady growth as the season goes on. He continues to gain more and more of a role with Stepinac, earning the trust of the staff and his teammates. Archevald is a smooth guard who plays with poise and doesn’t force the game. He does a great job finding soft spots in the defense and making the right read. As a playmaker, he creates opportunities for others while also proving he can score it himself when needed. His continued development and confidence make him a name to track moving forward.

Just think of the advantages of a young guard to every day play in practice with at least 6 future D1 players. The old saying is if you practice hard the games are easy. Jourdan is already proving that point. A heady poised pg. Even at this young age he is showing leadership qualities. He has a flair and knack for scoring the ball. But understands the importance on this team right now is to run the offense. Be steady and poised and take what defenders give him.
