Hanson was one of the bright spots for Waukee in their semifinal loss to Johnston, scoring 12 points on 5-7 shooting to go with 10 rebounds. A lanky 6-4/6-5 wing who can elevate and snatch rebounds out of nowhere, he’s an intriguing blend of size, length, athleticism, and raw potential.

has immense potential. His strong frame and freakish length make him a force in many areas of the game. He has elite footwork, speed, quick hands, leaping ability, and fluidity, which make him an absolute nightmare to be matched up against. He is one of the best defenders in the state, in my opinion, and it is mostly due to his elite athletic tools. He doesn’t just give opponents issues on the defensive end; he smothers them and makes every shot difficult. His tools also allow him to create many turnovers. He routinely nabs steals and blocks. He is great at being a game wrecker and completely ruining offenses’ plans because of how overwhelming his length and athleticism can be. He blows up offensive actions with his high defensive IQ and instincts. And one on one, he is the perfect player to stick on the other team’s top scorer. He isn’t only a defensive menace, though. His rebounding impact is very important to Waukee’s success as well. And he is great at finishing plays around the rim with his soft touch. And he has shown the ability to stretch the floor from three. His self-creation is also a slowly developing skill that he has showcased throughout this season.

displayed his elite size and versatility throughout this game. Landon has a great long and strong frame that he used to lock down opponents. His fluidity, length, and athleticism made him a difficult matchup for opposing scorers. He also used his athletic tools to impact the glass greatly in this game. He brought down many rebounds, both offensive and defensive, and he was constantly active and hustling for loose balls. Along with his defensive and rebounding impact, he was great at stretching the floor for Waukee’s offense. He hit multiple catch-and-shoot threes in this game, and he displayed a very nice and fluid release.

made an impact all over the floor in this game. For starters, he was an absoulte pest on the defesnive end of the floor. His foot work defesnvily on the pemritier stood out very much so. And when you combine that with his solid frame, length, awareness, and athelishm you have a truly tough defender to create any offese agaisnt. He collected a ton of steals in this game. He jumped passing lanes and ripped ball handlers throughout this game. Contasntly creating turnovers and chaos. He was very switchable as well, taking on many diffrent matchups in this game and doing a great job no matter his assignment. The steals he got in this game allowed him to get buckets in transtion. His elite speed and vertical atheltishm allowed him to rock the rim in this game with rim shaking dunks. He brought many high energy plays when Waukee needed it most. Offesnivly he was fantastic as well. He was great at keeping his balance and scoring on spin moves around the rim. While also hitting threes in this game and displaying a really promsing jumpshot from distance. Landon HansonLandonHanson
