In the paint, he was active on the boards, consistently fighting for offensive rebounds and creating additional scoring opportunities for his team. Defensively, he made his presence felt by altering shots and recording blocks, making it difficult for opponents to score inside. What separated Roth from many players in his role was his ability to extend the defense, as he stepped out and knocked down four three pointers in a game against Noco.
