Dean has been a player I wanted to get another look at since he had his moment at the Centennial State Cup, where he was one of the standouts on the weekend and put his team in great positions. While he played extremely well there, I still feel that there was more to his game. He showed flashes of being able to score in bunches, battling on both ends of the floor, and showed up in their best games. This is a spot where he can continue proving himself and showing that that wasn’t a fluke, but he’s a name to know. 

Dean made his impact felt with positioning, awareness and timely scoring. On the defensive end, he consistently found himself in the right place, securing rebounds and limiting second chance opportunities for the opposing team. His ability to read the play and anticipate where the ball would be allowed him to contribute in subtle but important ways. Offensively, Dean showed the ability to create for himself, working into open spaces and knocking down shots when his team needed them most. As the game progressed, he became more assertive, capitalizing on opportunities and helping to keep his team competitive.
