About Kamden

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with energy! High motor and love to play defense and love to rebound and play physical ! Great shooter and can score but I’m a pass first type of player i love getting my teammates involved ! I’m coachable and vocal on and off the court ! Just want to do what ever it takes to help my team win and do what ever my coach needs from me !

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Im a hard worker and strong minded ! I been coached by my dad more than half my life so he has always been really hard on me and just made me a lot stronger mentally and physically! I love the game so I have fun but take everything serious on and off the court ! I study the game since I was really young so I have a really high IQ!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Honor roll and a lot of academic achievements

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

My dad owns a non profit business so we do alot of positive outreach and help lower income families and just kids that come from nothing ! Just love to help people and mentor younger kids and just love being a leader on and off the court !

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes I have loss a lot of love ones growing up so just taught me how to be strong for my family and keep my faith strong ! I had a pretty bad injury that set me back but just made me work harder than I ever have to get my self back to where I needed to be !

What type of college are you looking for?

The best college that I can get a great education from and play at the highest level that I’m able to play in ! I want to find one that will push me to be the best person I can be on and off the court !

Thompson, like Marcum, is a high IQ point guard whose best basketball is all ahead of him. Kamden is capable of scoring or facilitating when he’s got the ball in his hands. He will need to continue getting stronger and improve his lateral quickness but Thompson could go from relative anonymity this season to being a top guard in Louisville as a Sophomore.
