Buchanan will stay in Massachusetts for college when he joins DiChiara at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. A versatile wing that lead his Bedford squad to the MIAA Division II Final Four, Buchanan is wired to score and took his game to another level this season. A capable perimeter shooter, he’s at his best when he’s getting downhill and attacking the basket off the bounce. He’s expanded his game and now shows signs of being comfortable as a secondary playmaker. Defensively, he probably can guard four positions at the next level and does a good job on the defensive glass. He’s the type of wing prospect that traditionally has had success in the LEC and should have a nice career at UMass Dartmouth.
