Emerged on the scene this past summer and has flourished as the lead dog for a scrappy Norman North team. His production fits into the mold of an old school point guard, who is also prideful on defense. Thomas sit and guards with the best of them in the class, at times basically making the opposition give him the ball. Plays fast but under control when attacking the rim. Has a variety of finishes and pull ups to score in the trees, or make the right read to open teammates. Plays like a winner, and has helped Norman North to their best season since 2022. And helped put them in a strong position to come out of a loaded 6A West as a State Tournament team.

It’s another week, it’s another strong performance from the old school floor general. Tough and quick with the ball on drives, often looking to set up his teammates over scoring himself. Even though he’s proven to be a reliable finisher and can hit off of pull ups.

Pride and attention to detail set him apart defensively. Usually has one moment each game where he harasses a ballhandler into turning and then “pulls the chair out” to force a turnover. Played with more composure down the stretch, making right passes to teammates, scoring when needed and valuing the ball more. Is one of the late bloomers of Oklahoma’s class of 2025, with clear collegiate traits.

No back down in Thomas’ game, as he even picked the pocket of PCN’s top guards a few times. Continues to display great vision on drives, making tight pocket passes to open teammates near the rim or kicking it to shooters. Comes across as a gamer, had one stretch where he swung a great kick out to a shooter, then was the one to grab the miss and score himself. Started to make noise this summer and scrimmage season, seems to be carrying over to make him one of the better traditional point guards in Oklahoma.

After a strong summer, Thomas is set to close out his high school career on a strong note. Throwback point guard, who applies ball pressure and runs the offense on the other end. In recent scrimmages, he’s displayed a good ability to get downhill, either scoring in the 8-12 foot range or setting up teammates. Seems to play defense with pride. There’s always spots at the next level for competitive guards who know their role and excel in making life easier for teammates.
