Expert Analysis
Ross Van De Griek | Prep Hoops Scout
The 6-2 senior shooting guard was very strong on the attack where he finished above the rim as well as from beyond the arc. Cunningham also displayed a great feel for the game when he was playing off the ball and impacted the tempo with his ability to get on the glass. He was very efficient when it came to guarding multiple positions on the defensive end where he didn’t allow an easy look at the rim.

Josiah averaged 19 points per game for Coronado this week in their games against St. Pius X St. Matthias (CA), Clovis West (CA), Mater Lakes Academy (FL), and St. Bernard. Cunningham really excelled as a scorer in the paint as he repeatedly hurt defenses with athletic and dynamic drives to the basket that saw him finish with either hand and above the rim.

Josiah finished with a team high 18 points in Coronado’s (NV) tough loss to Clovis West (CA) 79-63. Cunningham continues his strong scoring run this week as this performance followed up a 20 point game yesterday against St. Pius x Matthias. He attacks the basket with great aggression, can finish with either hand, and has the upper body strength to play and finish through contact.
