Expert Analysis
Duvalier Johnson | Prep Hoops Scout
Foot is a player that we’ve wanted to see a bit more of, and although he started his senior year out a bit rocky, he’s now making some noise. He’s coming off his best game of the season, and that is him finishing with a career-high in points of 22 points. He was very efficient from the field as he put up an impressive 11-13 from the field, and all of them are inside. He finishes well around the rim, he moves without the ball, and is the team’s workhorse who cannot be denied. He gives them energy at times that is contagious, and we want to see him remain aggressive.

Foot has emerged as a dynamic two way threat who seamlessly turns defense into offense. On the perimeter he uses strong footwork and anticipation to lock down opponents, forcing tough shots and creating turnovers. His quickness allows him to sprint in transition, often beating defenders down the floor for easy baskets. Around the rim he’s physical and aggressive, finishing through contact and securing rebounds on both ends. A versatile defender and relentless competitor, Foot impacts the game in multiple ways and consistently makes plays that swing momentum. His combination of defensive prowess, speed and scoring ability has him trending upward and putting himself squarely in the rankings

Although a guard, Foot is both a capable athlete and one on one defender along the perimeter. More than capable of throwing down breakaway dunks, he works hard to create scoring opportunities from his assertive defense. This strength has been made even more productive as he has improved as a playmaker with the ball, getting more comfortable to read the floor while attacking the rim. Following steady averages of 7.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game with Longmont, he remains one of the more efficient downhill scorers in the class thanks to his physical tools.

Through 4 Games: 15.8 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 2 APG, 2.5 SPG, 56% 2P
A sturdy guard, primarily getting his looks from secondary opportunities, typically drawing a dish to attack the closeout. Steady within the arc, Foot does a great job of slowing down the pace in the center of the floor, keeping his head up for extra passes once the off-ball defender falls asleep. Most consistent attacking downhill off the catch, Foot has been great finding efficient attempts in the paint. His defensive versatility has been valuable for Longmont, tasked with guarding up against opposing forwards. His continued shot volume beyond the arc will be worth following, opening up the rest of the floor in due time.
