17p 7r 6/14 FG vs Good Counsel
-Heavy minutes in both AAU and the HS season affected his legs towards the end of the game, but the skillset is apparent with the talent sophomore prospect as he gave it all he got against a pretty deep stable of GC wing defenders. Williams hit a stepback 3 that touched nothing but net, had a baseline spin to get away from the double team before he hit a double clutch floater, knocked down an elbow jumper off the bounce, and wove through traffic to hit a reverse layup to beat the press. He should be a big riser in our next set of updated rankings later this month once AAU season is complete and our scouts have more opportunities to see what he can do on the floor.

Williams had an impressive weekend in Atlanta, leading the team in scoring at over 15 points per game. The freshman is a versatile scorer who can produce from all areas of the floor. He’s comfortable with the ball in his hands, can create his own offense, and shows the ability to make plays for others. With a strong feel for the game and his willingness to rebound, he consistently makes the right plays and impacts winning.

Williams looked like a high-upside freshman who already understands how to impact the game. He consistently knocked down catch-and-shoot threes around the entire perimeter. He also showed he can also create for himself with a smooth stepback from the wing and a deep pull-up from the top. His shooting confidence is real and he doesn’t hesitate when the moment arises. Runs the floor hard and looks to finish after beating the defense down the court. In transition he uses deceptive size, speed, and handle to stay dangerous with the ball. Defensively, he held his own when switched onto quicker opponents and didn’t look overwhelmed. The biggest takeaway was Jeremiah’s late-game mentality. Williams wanted the ball in the 4th and took on the majority of the shot-making responsibility. For a 2029 guard, he looks advanced and fearless.
