Expert Analysis
Victor Taylor | Prep Hoops Scout
Wilkerson was a finalist for conference POY here at PrepHoops, and part of that had to do with his uber-efficient outside shooting this season for Walkertown. He operated as a primary scorer, but got a lot of open threes that he knocked down at a 53% clip, one of the most efficient in the entire class. As he approaches the end of his time with Walkertown, he should be on college radars because of his versatile scoring ability as well as his ability to knock down the open three.

Wilkerson has been a POY candidate for Walkertown this season and has been a great creator and scorer for his group. He’s been able to consistently make good reads to find his teammates and take care of the ball, limiting unforced errors on his end. Also a good scorer who can create well inside the arc. With an offer from Toccoa Falls, he’s shown he has an option to play already, but who knows where he might end up.

Wilkerson knocked down some tough shots, especially in the second half, trying to get his team to stay in contention. He can score from multiple areas of the floor, but really likes the off the dribble jumper. He was automatic attacking in transition and getting to that spot this afternoon, as his jumper was pure. He can be a solid defender as well, with less than ideal size to play off the ball but with good instincts.

Last Season Stats – 14.4 PPG, 2.6 RPG, 47% 3FG
Wilkerson is fresh off his first collegiate offer this summer and the sharpshooter will look to become the lead man in Walkertown’s offense this upcoming season. He’s a prolific shooter that will get them up consistently, but don’t think that it means he’s not efficient. He’s got great form and a textbook release to where defender’s contests can’t affect him that much. He’s got a little bounce off the dribble as well, making him a certified next level prospect for some schools in the area.

is an emerging guard prospect to get to know out of Walkertown High given his pedigree for operating in the backcourt as a shooter, rebounder and defender. He’s an active presence that never stops moving on either end of the floor with his athleticism and length at 6’0. He does well to move without the ball to find ways to impact the game with his shot-making and ability to finish around the rim. He’s got room to grow a ton in the Walkertown rotation after producing 14.4 PPG, 2.6 RPG, 2.0 APG and 1.0 SPG on 47 percent shooting from 3-point range in 2022-23.
