Braswell started at Durham Academy but has really blossomed as a dogged lead guard at Hillside recently. He’ll be expected to pick up more of the scoring load with the loss of Devin Sims Devin Sims 6'5" | SF Lee Christian | 2025 State NC but has the capacity to, with him knocking down shots with consistency, especially three pointers. He made 45 last year and has shown his ability to be a more than capable shooter. Also a scrappy defender who moves his feet extremely well and has a general athleticism and length to disrupt guards on that end.

Despite being a smaller guard, Jayde Braswell Jayde Braswell 6'0" | PG Hillside | 2024 State NC is the type of guy you want bringing it up for your squad. He’s unselfish with the rock and can really score when need be. His speed is what sets him apart. Has a lethal first step, and gets to the rim with ease from anywhere on the floor. Can jump. Does a nice job of using his body to draw fouls. One of the scrappiest defenders I have seen this year. Channels his aggression on defense into getting out in transition and making plays off turnovers. Simply put, Jayde Braswell Jayde Braswell 6'0" | PG Hillside | 2024 State NC is a tough, old-school kind of guard who will give you everything he’s got on both ends of the floor.

Provided a nice second scoring punch for them in the matchup that we saw, adding 20 Points for his team. He knocks down shots from three-point range with consistency and plays within the flow of the team’s offense.
