did not let the weight of that pressure phase him— better yet he embraced the challenge that lied ahead of him on his way to averaging an impressive 20.2 PPG. Already having a reputation as one of the state’s most dangerous perimeter shooters, all Rodriguez did was reaffirm that assertion while also showing added layers to his game— featuring an extremely fluid shooting stroke with well refined mechanics and super soft touch, Rodriguez demonstrated his versatility as a dynamic perimeter threat with confidence and efficiency, consistently burying open catch and shoot looks, capitalizing on movement opportunities coming off different types of screens, and even off the bounce when he creates separation and gets his shot off. A part of his game that became more glaring throughout the course of this season was his ability to create— showing flashes of his ability to create his own shot off the bounce, particularly with his ability to get to his spots in the mid range area and knock down difficult contested pull ups.
