Puttkammer has been absolutely everywhere on defense today, just hounding opposing guards with nonstop pressure. He’s doing an excellent job of cutting off drives, making it tough for players to get to the rim and forcing them to look for other options to score. He’s already tallied at least 4 steals across the first two games, and his physical play is helping keep his team in the mix, especially when the game gets tight. Puttkammer is closing out on opponents hard to shut down a drive and getting his hands in the passing lanes. He’s been a huge defensive presence, and it’s clear he’s a difference-maker on that end of the floor
