Jaramillo is a player who came out and made his mark. He seems to understand when he had a physical advantage and wasn’t afraid to call attention to it. When a mismatch presented itself, he used his strong frame to overpower the defender and get himself into scoring position. He had some on the block plays where he called for the ball, and I want to see more of that. There were also glimpses of him working within screen-and-roll actions, either rolling into the open spot on the floor or popping and shooting it. He hit a few jumpers, stepped out, and hit the 3-ball, but he certainly is an inside presence. We liked what we saw from him at the showcase and he’s a player to follow.

Charlie Jaramillo brought value with his effort and activity. He set strong screens, rolled hard, and made himself available inside. He grabbed rebounds and converted mid-range jumpers when left open, but he has a high IQ without the ball, which is not always shown by players at a showcase. Jaramillo’s motor on both ends was noticeable, and he didn’t need plays called for him to stay involved and be productive. His impact came through energy, positioning, and consistent hustle, and those are things that will keep you on the floor. Solid outing for Charlie.
