Expert Analysis
Will Armishaw | Prep Hoops Scout
Palluzzi came off the board when he announced a commitment to Pace University. A tough and skilled guard, Palluzzi is most easily identified as a shot creator. He can play on or off the ball and does a great job of making reads in the half court, particularly out of ball screens. He’s got some wiggle with the ball in his hands and can really create off the bounce, especially when he gets into his mid-range game. He does a nice job of moving without the ball and utilizes screens to get open. Defensively, he’s gritty and tough at the point of attack. He works hard on that end of the floor, sees the game one play ahead, and is willing to give up his body for his team. Palluzzi gives Pace a nice piece in the backcourt and profiles as the type of shot-making guard that can quickly carve out a role in the Northeast-10.

Fiery point guard with good hands who never gives up on the ball defensively and plays with a level of intensity that seems to rub off on his teammates. Palluzzi can make plays for an offense off the dribble and is a knock down three point shooter with range. He’s also a cerebral pick and roll player and has a quicker-than-you’d-expect first-step and a solid pull-up game to pair with it.

has an absolute flamethrower of a jumper. Smooth like butter. He is not afraid to use his superpower to his advantage, launching shots off the catch and sidestepping jump shots. Palluzzi is also a terrific finisher on the inside with a bulk-like frame and will use his body to take on contact on his finishes. He is quicker than you think too, easily getting by defenders with hesitations, rip-throughs, and high acceleration burners. Palluzzi combines this scoring prowess with good decision-making. He finds the open man and puts the ball in the right spot for his team to win. A program needing a half-court lead guard should eye Palluzzi as the guy to fill that role.
