is a 2024 guard that is transferring to Spire Academy in Ohio for his senior year. Neish played at St. Croix Lutheran previously. Neish a lefty, is an excellent spot-up shooter. Any bit of room on the perimeter and he knocks down shots. Multiple times he made multiple 3’s for Crossfire Becker on the Prep Hoops Circuit, even an 8 make game versus Minnesota Lightning.

Jaden is usually more well known for his three point shooting, but on Sunday morning he made a huge impact on the defensive end. On the opening possession of the game he stepped in to take a charge, and ended up drawing four by the time the final buzzer went off. Not only did those help pick up stops for his team, but they also contributed to getting the opposing team’s 6’10 big in foul trouble. Started to find his rhythm from three in the second half, and I thought he did a great job of changing his speeds to attack and then kick the ball out to his open shooters once the defense collapsed.

is typically a knockdown shooter, but on Monday night his shot just wasn’t falling for most of the game. Because of that he was finding other ways to contribute, particularly as a playmaker. He knows he’s not the tallest or most athletic guy on the floor, but what Jaden does know how to do is use his body to gain an edge on his defender. He’s so good at gaining a slight angle on his man, and just pinning him on his shoulder/hip so there’s nothing he can do. With that Jaden was able to get past his man and see the floor, allowing him to deliver accurate passes to open shooters while also getting into the mid-range for pull-up jumpers or floaters. In the second half he hustled for a pair of steals, including one where he dove on the floor, got the ball, and from the ground delivered a pass up the floor to pick up an assist. Skilled guard with a nice feel for the game.

Jaden had the best shooting performance I saw throughout the 2021-22 season, when he went off for 33 points on 11 three pointers against Concordia Academy. Everyone in the gym knew he was looking to shoot from deep, but he continued to find ways to get into open space. Really good at passing and moving, as well as getting guys in the air with a shot fake before taking one step to the side into space to get his shot off. Not the tallest or quickest player on the floor but changes his speeds well and knows how to use his frame to get defenders on his shoulder when attacking the basket. Has the touch to finish off the glass with floaters and has dropped some impressive dimes in the games I’ve seen.
