About Jaden
Expert Analysis
David Gardner | Prep Hoops Scout
Jackson has progressed each season, and offseason, into a pure basketball player. Jackson could be an all-out star on most Metro teams but has accepted a role on the Thunderbirds that sacrifices shot attempts for wins and championship runs. He has a smooth jump shot that opponents have to gameplan for. Jackson is an underrated rim attacker and defender. Jackson recently committed to South Dakota State, but it still feels like he slept on to some extent with his coachability, team first mentality. ability to score and defend on the basketball court.

The recent South Dakota State commit is the best prospect in the state of Nebraska and for good reason, Jackson’s quickness, strength, and ability to score at will make him a mismatch nightmare for defenders and is constantly in attack mode. This young man can literally score from anywhere on the court and can also be the main ball handler in offensive sets opening up more options for teammates to get easy buckets. The poise and pace he plays with makes it near impossible to throw him off his game and makes defenders look absolutely foolish when trying to guard him. Defensively he is a good as it gets his strength and and lateral quickness make him a phenomenal perimeter defender and has even shown the ability to guard bigger guards and wings with no problems. If I had to give my pick for player of the year in the state of Nebraska this upcoming season it would be a no brainer! I can not wait to see what he can do at the next level!

His game is super polished and he plays with a ton of confidence and swagger. Jackson appears to be college ready going into his senior season. is on the cusp of breaking out nationally. He lists several D1 offers already, with the potential to earn a lot more as the summer continues. Not only is Jackson an elite scorer (shooting 53% FG and 42% from 3 this past season for Bellevue West), but he also is a tremendous defender at the guard position. Jackson’s ability to make major contributions on both ends of the court are very appealing to college coaches. Expect a lot of eyes to be on the 6’1 prospect this summer with ETG and Bellevue West.

https://twitter.com/JadenJ2024rnJackson’s game is so smooth that he almost makes it look easy. He has the ability to get to any spot on the floor he wants, and you almost expect it to go in every time he puts up a shot. You get the impression he could probably take over a game at any point he wants be he remains calm and understands the importance of getting his team involved. He is intelligent player who rarely makes errors and is an underrated passer. It was evident why Jackson is a top talent in his class and the state should watch out if the T-Birds allow him more of a green light game.
