Each of these five prospects are incredibly talented and will be immediate impact players at the next level. Get to know a little more about these athletes below.
Jaden Jackson Jaden Jackson 6’1″ | SG Bellevue West | 2024 State #312 Nation NE is listed as the top player in the class of 2024 once again. The guard out of Bellevue West has racked in several mid-major division one offers this summer. His game is super polished and he plays with a ton of confidence and swagger. Jackson appears to be college ready going into his senior season. He will be the leader on the Thunderbirds this upcoming year, as they look to repeat in Class A.
Elijah Gaeth Elijah Gaeth 6’1″ | SG Millard North | 2024 State NE is a prospect that has blown up the past month. He has earned offers from some of the top NAIA programs in the area including Briar Cliff, Morningside and Concordia. While these are impressive offers, Gaeth may be one of the more slept on prospects in the state. Last season for Millard North, Gaeth averaged 13, 7 & 5 on one of the top Class A teams in the state. This year, he will look to have another impressive season. Expect Gaeth’s recruitment to continue to expand.
Daleron Thomas Daleron Thomas 6’0″ | CG Omaha Central | 2024 State NE may have had the best summer out of any 2024 prospect in the state of Nebraska. He led his Omaha Elite squad to a Final 4 berth on the New Balance Circuit, and had several 20+ point game performances. Thomas is the type of athlete to embrace the biggest stage and perform the best when it matters most. Currently, Thomas holds a couple of Junior College offers, but is worthy of a lot more. If he has the senior season I expect him to have, a lot more should come his way.
Carter Mick Carter Mick 6’2″ | SG Lincoln East | 2024 State NE is a special athlete. Talking with players and coaches around the state, everyone boasts about Mick’s talent. He is another kid that seems to come alive when the lights are the brightest. While Mick has a gifted skillset, his passion and will to win is what sets him apart from his peers. Mick is due for a huge senior season for Lincoln East this winter, and will look to assume a larger leadership role after the departure of a couple seniors.
Like his teammate Daleron Thomas Daleron Thomas 6’0″ | CG Omaha Central | 2024 State NE , Mynor Strong Mynor Strong 6’1″ | CG Omaha North | 2024 State NE also had a spectacular summer with Omaha Elite. Every time I saw Strong play this Spring/Summer, he looked better and better. If he continues to improve at the rate he is currently, look for him to crack the top 10 the next time the rankings drop. Strong’s recruitment is questionably quite, and is deserving of a lot more attention. While his talent is elite, he is also a fierce competitor who will not back down from anyone.
