Understanding transfer rules and open enrollment have players shuffling to programs they feel will develop their game and get them the exposure they desire. I will be covering some of the top transfers who will contribute to their new teams in a big way.

Daleron Thomas Daleron Thomas 6'0" | CG Omaha Central | 2024 State NE
https://twitter.com/ThomasDaleronrnThomas takes his talents to the Omaha Central Eagles to receive tutelage from Coach Chubick, breaking up one of the best backcourts in the Omaha Metro area. A three level scorer, Thomas has the ability to get to his spot on the floor and knock down tough shots over defenders. He is strong with the ball in his hand and can finish in multiple ways around the rim. The Eagles are reloading, and Thomas will be featured in the backcourt with a surging front court player in Devin Holman. Look for Thomas to have a special year.
https://twitter.com/carsonhealy2025rnGetting back to Omaha Westside after a year with Omaha Westview, Healy will provide solid support to CJ Mitchell CJ Mitchell 5’10” | PG Omaha Westside | 2024 State NE . His terrific on ball defense and willingness to play physical puts a lot of pressure on opposing teams backcourts. Averaging a little over 11 points a game in 2022-23 season, Healy has continued to show growth during the offseason with his ability to put the ball in the basket. The Warriors relay on tough defense and timely buckets, Healy could very well thrive in his role.
Caleb Steele
Caleb Steele
In my opinion, one of the most intriguing transfer’s is with Steele’s departure from Millard North to play with his brother, Elijah Steele Elijah Steele 6’1″ | PG Platteview | 2025 NE , at Platteview. The Trojan’s senior class carried the torch this past year, led by Class B all-time leading scorer Connor Millikan, and have since graduated leaving a ton of touches of the ball and scoring on the dinner table for someone to consume. Steele maybe stepping it at the right time. He is long and athletic, which could pose as a problem for opponents in Class B. With the knowledge he took from his time at Millard North, his athleticism and ability, Steele could really make a name for himself around the metro this year.
Jaydn Cascio Jensen

https://twitter.com/jcasciojensenrnReturning to where he began his High School career, Cascio Jensen will be back with the Thunderbirds for the 2023-2024 season. The team depth of the Thunderbirds is always a strength and will Jaden Jackson Jaden Jackson 6’1″ | SG Bellevue West | 2024 State #312 Nation NE , Eldon Turner Eldon Turner 5’10” | PG Bellevue West | 2024 State NE , and Steve Poulicek all returning, Cascio Jensen will need to make the most of his minutes on the floor. His quick trigger and ability to pull up from anywhere on the floor applies a lot of pressure on defenders to close out. He has shown major improvement on his ability to put the ball on the floor to get to the basket and create his own shot. Cascio Jensen could prove to be the X factor in the Thunderbirds quest to repeat as state champs.
Brandon Jarmon
Brandon Jarmon
https://twitter.com/BrandonJarmon5rnFrom bunny to bear, Jarmon is taking his talents farther south to Coach Gullie and Omaha Bryan’s rising program. The two sport athlete is very athletic, brings a ton of energy and toughness to the court. Coach Gullie was a two-sport athlete himself, and his mentorship of Jarmon in running the point guard position could be what gets the Bears to state. Jarmon will have multiple weapons in a state top prospect Amare Bynum, Amir Martin Amir Martin 6’5″ | SG Omaha Bryan | 2025 State NE and the ascending Rylan Rodriguez Rylan Rodriguez 6’6″ | PF Omaha Bryan | 2024 State NE . His facilitation will be key and with the attention Bynum and Martin will draw, we should see some strong offensive games emerge. Look for Jarmon’s stock to skyrocket during this winter.
