Jacob can really shoot it. A quick leaper. Gets his feet set on the catch and drains threes. Like the corner and wing threes. Has a nice release point on his jumper. No offers currently D2 should take looks at him quickly.

The 6-foot-2 scorer was impressive in a hard fought loss to Xaverian. He’s a rangy wing guard who gets off the floor quickly and can shoot it from beyond the arc. He’s currently flying under-the-radar but colleges should get eyes on him in the coming weeks.

ended his Junior season on a tear and picked up right where he left off this preseason. At first sight, Moreno’s athleticism sticks out like a sore thumb. In layup lines, Moreno is pulling off Eastbay dunks with ease. When you take a closer look, you notice a player who has a good feel for the game on both ends of the floor. On defense, Moreno stays with his man but also seems to always be in the right spot when it’s time to help a teammate. Many fast break opportunities were created by Moreno picking up a loose ball and pushing ahead in transition. Or Moreno would snatch a defensive rebound and start the offense that way. This preseason, Moreno looks like an improved shooter from behind the arc. At one point, Moreno made 3 three-pointers in a row and had the Smartball NYC crowd in a frenzy. With Head Coach Billy Turnage taking over at Holy Cross, we expect Moreno to build even more a buzz throughout this season.

Jacob will be a major piece to try to get Holy Cross back on track in the tough CHSAA. He showed he is an outstanding shooter from three. Has a quick release with the ball smoothly coming out of the hand. Teams tried to take away his ability to knock down threes and he still averaged 13 ppg.
