McMullin is a physical forward who embraces contact and has no issues battling on the interior for rebounds and loose balls. He plays with an energetic motor that consistently shows up on both ends of the floor and allows him to make a positive impact beyond the scoring column. Around the basket, McMullin displays soft touch and finishes effectively in traffic. I also liked how he moved the ball and kept the offense flowing, rarely allowing it to stick in his hands. He showed the ability to knock down mid-range shots and was comfortable putting the ball on the deck when opportunities presented themselves. Defensively and on the glass, he held his own against bigger, more physical bodies and competed every possession. McMullin is an active presence whenever he steps on the floor and also showed good awareness as a passer, willingly feeding the post and creating opportunities for teammates. His toughness, versatility, and motor make him a valuable contributor in a variety of roles.

McMullin was one of the breakout stars of the spring grassroots circuit as he crushed the competition at marquee events like EYCL Session I and Session II as well as the Rare Footage Spring Fling. At EYCL S2, McMullin poured in games of 27 points against Mokan Elite as well as 26 points versus Pluto Prospects (CO). McMullin’s height, solid build and accurate jump shot combine to create a prospect who is a matchup nightmare for opponents. His jumper is automatic from the baseline, in the mid-range and well beyond the arc. At 6’5”, McMullin can shoot over most defenders and well as double teams with ease. His constant off ball movement makes McMullin even more difficult to guard on the perimeter. McMullin is also an excellent transition three-point shooter. In addition to splashing jumpers, McMullin can score in transition via a creative lay-in or with a crowd-pleasing dunk.

Spring 2025 has quickly become McMullin’s breakout stretch of play. After being named as a standout at April’s EYCL Session I and the Rare Footage Spring Fling, McMullin destroyed the competition at EYCL S2. McMullin poured in games of 27 points against Mokan Elite as well as 26 points versus Pluto Prospects (CO) as he pushed TFR to a 3-1 record. The trifecta of McMullin’s height, accurate jump shot, and constant off ball movement presented serious matchup issues for opponents. Additionally, McMullin caught foes by surprise with his ability to put the ball on the deck and create for himself as well as teammates. McMullin also proved to be a legitimate open court threat. He was especially effective at draining transition and trail threes. College coaches will love McMullin’s high IQ and court vision too.

At EYBL Session I, McMullin averaged 15 points and 9 rebounds per game and impressed with his well-rounded skill set. Thus, it should not be a shock that he turned heads at the Rare Footage Spring Fling this past weekend. McMullin is a 6’5” shooting guard, no issues shooting threes over other 2028 prospects. That length combined with his quick release and unlimited range made McMullin un-guardable along the arc. When defenders chased him off the arc, McMullin scored at the rime off one or two crafty dribbles. McMullin played with a great deal of energy and swagger too.
