Switching over to the Mauldin side of things, their Point Guard, Jace Shaw Jace Shaw Jace Shaw 6'0" | PG Mauldin | 2026 State SC , was an eye-catcher in a tough loss. He was excellent in transition, pushing the pace with his handle, throwing quick hit-ahead passes to get his teammates going towards the rim, or even taking it and scoring it himself. Shaw is a lefty who finishes really well around bodies with a head of steam or can slow it down and play off two feet in the lane. Jace always provides a great balance of scoring and passing, and on Friday, he totaled 11 points, 6 assists, and 0 turnovers with a ton of minutes played.

Jace Shaw Jace Shaw Jace Shaw 6'0" | PG Mauldin | 2026 State SC was Mauldin’s best player on Tuesday in that win. Not only did he run the show on offense with 12 points and 6 assists, but he was also an impact player on the defensive end. Now a Senior, Shaw is a very experienced player who has the basketball IQ to be able to recognize and disrupt offensive actions. However, he is also gritty enough to sit down and guard when it’s time to get stops.

Shaw made consecutive decent jumps in the Rankings, moving up from #160 in March to #101 in September. He is one of the more balanced Point Guards in the Upstate with his ability to pass and score, but he is also very experienced running this offense.
