Andrew Baxley | Prep Hoops Scout
Eli had a monster senior season at Mauldin. He put up 11.0 points per game, 9.1 rebounds per game, and 1.0 blocks per game, dominating the paint every time he took the floor. Saint-Amour isn’t the biggest or bounciest post, but he has a big frame to wear down thinner forwards and tremendous instincts as a shot blocker and offensive rebounder. Eli can try to do too much on offense at times, but with improved talent around him and the option to focus on creating stocks and tracking loose balls, he could be a strong role player at the next level.

Although he isn’t the tallest big man, Saint-Amour has a knack for making his presence felt when he’s on the floor. Eli had a solid offensive game, putting up 9 points, which included a pair of and-1s and multiple offensive rebounds, but it was his defensive efforts that really impressed me. Saint-Amour looked much more mobile than I remember him being a season ago, as that was on display with quick rotations to protect the rim. He will also pick his spots to blitz and force pressure for ball-handlers. Eli tallied 6 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 2 steals in an overtime win.
