Walston continues to be one of the more versatile players in the entire state when it comes to high school boys basketball. Was able to watch him on Tuesday night in the first round of Sectional 8 and while he only ended up with 11 points, it’s the impact that he has everywhere else is what make him standout. He defends all areas of the floor, makes great passes, and can score consisnelty. He is the type of team player you want you team because of his unselfishness on the floor to do whatever it takes to win games. He had a great Sectional week overall.

Walston was his consistent self here like usual. He was the main ballhandler at times for Noblesville and was making plays for himself and others. With his length, he was able to exploit the mismatch in the game I watched vs McCutcheon. Was very solid on defense, made very sharp passes, and was knocking down shots. You won’t find many point-forwards with his versatility in the state. He had a total of 27 points in both games.

Walston continues to prove why he is arguably the most under-recruited player in the state with how well he has been playing this season for Noblesville. The 6’6 hybrid forward is averaging 12.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in the five games Noblesville has played this season while also getting it done on the defensive end averaging nearly 2 steals a game. Walston is one of the more versatile players we have in the in-state 2024 class due to his ability to play multiple spots on the floor while also scoring at all three levels at a good rate. I am still baffled why colleges at all levels have not put more focus on recruiting this talented senior. He and Noblesville have a trip to Marion (12/19) and Anderson (12/22) this week.
