Sun is a connector for that B&B Academy squad, and we saw that as he was a standout at an event this Spring. He has excellent awareness, he seems to be involved in every play, and he doesn’t have to have the ball to be effective. I liked watching how he made reads defensively as he quickly rotates on defense, steps over in help side, and baited guards into bad passes for scoring opportunities the other way. We also got to see him go on a couple of mini runs where the ball is flowing, he cuts to the open spots, and stays shot-ready. He’s a versatile player who I definitely want to get more eyes on this summer. 

Sun made his mark with effort and awareness on the defensive end, being able to be disruptive on that end. He was quick to rotate in help side situations, getting into position to contest shots and disrupt offensive flow. His activity level stood out, as he remained engaged on every possession. Offensively, Sun complemented his defense with smart decision making, consistently making the right pass and keeping the offense moving. He also showed the ability to finish in the paint and knock down perimeter shots when given the opportunity. His balanced skill set and defensive mindset make him a valuable contributor with room to continue developing.
