uniform, but he is a prospect I was familiar with from the EYBL Circuit last summer. Hamilton is a 2024 Guard committed to Roanoke College. He is a knockdown shooter from three and the mid-range but can also make plays off the dribble. Hamilton likes to get out in transition and had a couple of athletic finishes at the rim. He went for a very efficient 21 points in a win over
Team United
Elite on Saturday morning.

Hamilton showcased an impressive trio of performances as his Weddington group came runners up in the Phenom Hoops Holiday Classic at Cox Mill. He poured in 30 in the championship game, along with 23 in the semis and 29 in the first round. The guard is one of the best shooters in the state both on the catch and on the move, and has shown an ability to make plays with the ball in his hands much more this season.

Hamilton should be in line to be conference player of the year this season, as an elite shooter who’s expanded his game more and more this summer. Obviously he is known for his deep range and ability to shoot the basketball, but he has improved as a driver, finisher, and playmaker as well. Also a great floor spacer with his IQ and vision, showing he can move without the ball. Getting more comfortable with the ball in his hands. Should have another big year for Weddington.

Hamilton had a great weekend shooting the ball for Team CP3 to help boost his stock in the eyes of College Coaches. He provides much-needed spacing for a star-studded CP3 Offense with efficiency. In a win over Upward Stars SE Carolinas on Saturday Afternoon, Grant had 30 Points catching fire from behind the arc. He currently holds offers from Lees-McRae and Roanoke but I would be surprised if the interest level around his game did not rise after his performances in Bermuda Run this weekend.

Hamilton can flat out shoot the rock, and is in the conversation for being the best shooter in the entire state. He showed it off this weekend being an elite floor spacing option for his group, spacing and probing for his teammates to find him for open looks, which almost always went down. It looks like he’s improved as a driver and offensive weapon as well, making it so teams can’t just make him put it on the floor with no consequences. He should continue to tear the nets up at Weddington this winter, and his hot shooting ability should make him a priority for many coaches at the next level.

is a name to get to know at Weddington High and on the grassroots stage with
CC Elite
/Team CP3, depending on the setting. He’s a confidence scoring guard that can fill it up in a hurry while also maintaining the ability to keep others involved. He’s set to have a strong senior campaign as he’s shown this spring with his ability to operate on the perimeter and in the backcourt.
