Davis has appeared in a lot of my articles this spring and for good reason. He’s been a force around the rim for Hardwood Midwest. Even just his attitude and intensity sets a tone in the paint. Davis is a 2 way player that gets up and down the floor smoothly for a young post player.

Davis was tremendous over the weekend. Just looking at his numbers doesn’t do his game influence justice. When I watched him play at the event, he was simply taking over the paint. Davis was able to alter shots with just his presence near the rim. He was able to earn good looks on the offensive end with soft touch with a spin and finish over the right shoulder.

Davis is a post player that coaches and scouts are going to want to keep an eye on. He’s tall and strong with a next level frame. Davis worked really well off the high post. I saw him score using an aggressive straight line 2 dribble drive from around the free throw line. Davis was willing and able to play through and with contact.

Gavin Davis Gavin Davis 6'7" | PF/C Grand Haven | 2027 MI is an up and coming post player that scouts and coaches will want to see. He has a chance to have a breakout weekend at Rumble In The Rapids. Davis has a solid frame and a ton of upside in his game. I’m really looking forward to becoming more familiar with him and his skills. Davis will be playing with Hardwood Midwest.
