Post Standouts At Rumble In The Rapids

<p>The talent was running deep in Grand Rapids at the Prep Hoops Circuit's Rumble In The Rapids! There were some quality post players that stood out at the event! He's tall and strong with a next level frame. Davis worked really well off the high post. I saw him score using an aggressive straight line 2 dribble drive from around the free throw line. Davis was willing and able to play through and with contact.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Spahic played on the 1of1 Detroit National Team. They went 4-0 and were probably the top team in the 17u division. While they featured a plethora of athletic playmaking guards and wings, Spahic was their force in the paint. He has a strong frame that will get even better at the next level. Spahic is active on the glass on both ends of the floor. He showed the ability to pass out off a rebound and help push the pace.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Hovis really caught my eye on Sunday. That's when he really showed and utilized his strength and length, specifically in earning position under the rim, grabbing boards and getting put backs. Hovis was another forward that was really good working off the high post. He could catch at the free throw line, turn and face, and 2 dribble drive to the rim.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">I was very impressed with Poe at the Rumble In The Rapids. He was in much better physical condition than even a couple months ago. This allowed him to be faster down the floor, both defensively and offensively. Poe was quicker with the ball than last time I saw him as well. He was able to log heavy minutes and it didn't effect his performance at all. Poe really sent a strong message about his game at the event.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Clark is a player that I noticed very early in the spring and loved his game. He was really good again this weekend. Even playing up, Clark is physical and strong and plays well through contact. He was active on the glass and is a good screener and passer. Clark showed that he could score in traffic with put backs and 2 dribble drives. Even better yet, he's a true 2 way player.</p>
