I was very impressed with Poe at the Rumble In The Rapids. He was in much better physical condition than even a couple months ago. This allowed him to be faster down the floor, both defensively and offensively. Poe was quicker with the ball than last time I saw him as well. He was able to log heavy minutes and it didn’t effect his performance at all. Poe really sent a strong message about his game at the event.

Poe is a forward that can play with power and finesse. If he can utilize matchups, use his passing and score at a high percentage – Ypsilanti Lincoln can bring home a championship.

Poe came into the season off a nice grassroots showing and hasn’t let off the gas. He led Ypsilanti Lincoln to a big 73-53 win against a very talented Adrian squad. Poe controlled the paint on his way to a 23 point and 16 rebound double-double. He even added 6 assists to his stat line.

Poe is an intriguing talent and could be one of the best forwards in Washtenaw County. He definitely has a nose for the ball off the rim and will grab some offensive boards that should turn into high percentage put backs. It’ll be fun to see him play a bigger role offensively this high school season.

Poe is an intriguing prospect. I saw him a few times this summer and it was his post D that stood out the most. But last night he handled it a bit and even hit a couple up floor passes that pushed the pace. Poe even stepped beyond the arc and hit a couple triples.

Poe and his recruitment could hit a whole new level with a big day at The Expo. He’s a high upside post player with strong hands on the glass. Poe plays sound defense and can anticipate blocks and often get them before the ball leaves the shooters hand. If Poe comes and shows out, college coaches will have an eye on him.
