About Nathaniel

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Physical power forward who likes to attack downhill and finish at the rim. I use my strength and athleticism to drive, rebound, and defend multiple positions. I play with energy, run the floor hard, and look to make winning plays on both ends

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Versatile power forward who can put the ball on the floor and attack the basket. I focus on finishing through contact, rebounding, and defending with effort. I bring energy, play physical, and look to impact the game in multiple ways.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

i started playing late so i had to work harder to catch up to my peers while playing through some injuries

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m open to all levels of college basketball and looking for the best fit academically and athletically. I want a program where I can develop as a player, compete, and contribute to winning.

I saw Hovis play a couple weeks ago at Rumble In The Rapids and he’s on my list to see again this weekend. Hovis really works well off the free throw line and his 2 dribble drive when he turned and faced was almost unstoppable. Hovis looks like he has the ability to be a versatile forward as well.

Hovis really caught my eye on Sunday. That’s when he really showed and utilized his strength and length, specifically in earning position under the rim, grabbing boards and getting put backs. Hovis was another forward that was really good working off the high post. He could catch at the free throw line, turn and face, and 2 dribble drive to the rim.
