is first up on the list of Stock-Rising 2027s in the June Rankings Update. From a college recruitment standpoint, no player outside the Top 10 had as productive a spring as Ford, who earned offers from in-state D2s Francis Marion and Newberry. Stratton has always been a good shooter at 6’6″, but the difference in him breaking out is staying healthy and stepping up in big moments.

. He’s received offers from in-state D2s Francis Marion and Newberry over the past few weeks, and those will not be the last two if he continues his hot shooting into North Augusta next weekend. He was hot early in a matchup with AC Flora, knocking down his first four looks from behind the arc. Although Ford was able to add one more and finished 5-7 from three, he did more than just stand behind the arc and contributed on the glass, by getting to the rack off the dribble, and in setting up teammates with his passing.

Ford deserved an offer after a game with five made threes on Saturday, and he got it from in-state D2 Francis Marion. The Swamp Foxes had multiple coaches in Rock Hill this weekend, and Stratton was one of the guys they were most high on. Although perimeter shooting is definitely the top attribute with Ford, when you also factor in his legit 6’6″ size, it’s not hard to see why a coach would like him. Stratton isn’t just a standstill shooter, though – he relocated well without the ball, was eager to find the corners in transition, and was a target of out-of-bounds sets. Ford also had a few flashes off the dribble, but he needs to get stronger as a finisher to reach his ceiling as an offensive weapon.

Ford displayed some of his exciting long-term potential on Tuesday. He is a high-volume shooter who is comfortable pulling the trigger from deep range and off the bounce. Stratton has some room for improvement with his footwork, but he did drive the ball very well with some strong finishing inside. Ford had 17 points and 9 rebounds.
