Previous Rank: 35
-Turner was the 4th consecutive DC Player of the Year that calls Coolidge home, boasting averages of 26p 11r 8a on the season. Turner continued to prove that he can score with the best of them throughout the season, that ability culminated in a career-high 52-point outburst in a win on the road against HD Woodson midway through the season. A strong downhill driver that excelled in transition or in the halfcourt at bullying his way to his spots, he was the spark plug for a Coolidge offense that lit the city on fire. With several prep and scholarship offers at the collegiate level on the table, it will be interesting to see where the dynamic scorer ends up next year.

Turner is a no-brainer for Player of the year in the DCIAA conference this season. Because he is constantly attacking offensively. Turner plays with a tremendous motor and was non-stop throughout the camp with his play. The speedy guard consistently looks to get downhill, using his quickness and attacking mindset to pressure the defense and finish strong around the basket. His ability to play with pace and create off the bounce allows him to influence the game in meaningful ways, making him a young prospect worth tracking as he continues to develop. Looking forward to the semi-final game against Jackson Reed on Thursday.

25p 3r 5a 2s 7/9 FT vs Dunbar
-The unsigned senior bounced back well from a slow 1H with a quick 9 points in the first few possessions to help Coolidge staunch a Dunbar run. Turner hit several stepback twos, got to the rim at will, hit a tough catch in traffic before hitting the reverse layup, drove to the elbow from the baseline to hit a pull-up 2, scored on a post fader from the block after snagging the offensive rebound, and had a C2C lay off the defensive rebound to put his team up 2 possessions late in the game. If he can clean up some of the turnover issues driving through tight spaces in the halfcourt, his ability to score in the halfcourt with a strong frame at 6’3 should make him a valuable available senior on the market.

The former Hampton commit has re-open his recruiting…The play of Eric has been fun to watch this year. Going into the last two weeks of the season, the Coolidge Colts have a 13-1 conference record and have a 18-4 overall record. Eric’s a consistent three-level scorer with the ability to put points on the board from anywhere on the floor, particularly in quick bursts. Turner shows confidence and efficiency as a shooter, can attack OTD, and finishes well around the rim. He brings a scrappy, competitive approach to the backcourt, impacting the game with his toughness and willingness to make plays on both ends. Eric’s approach to the game is refreshing because he goes all out every time he steps between those black lines…. Averaging 26 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 steals a game.

Turner may be the sneakiest guard in the DMV that D1 programs should be looking at more since he has de-committed from Hampton U. High octane two-way guard, Turner has simply proven and shown the ability to be a true scoring factor on the court. An effective and efficient guard Turner can be a big threat from the perimeter with his ability to knock down shots as well as make plays off the bounce. He plays hard and makes those extra effort players that college coaches would love; true competitors that D1 should look at again. Also, will impress with his vision being a sleek passer…Eric finished the intense game with 26 points against Kipp DC Legacy College Prep.

Eric has been one of the most consistent players on the scene since his freshman year. Still don’t think he gets a lot of play on a local level. Eric is a do all play all types of player that I play the game the right way. Defends, rebounds, and scored from all areas on the court. Has a great body and frame! Look for Erick stock to continue through the spring and summer. Legit college level prospect.

Eric’s ability to create shots was on full display in Coolidge’s win tough win over Takoma. Eric showcased his ball-handling as he was the No. 1 option tonight missing some fellow starters. He had to break down the defense and find space to shoot quickly before the help and recovery effort closed him in. Eric missed some of his usual looks in the first half, but ripped off a huge scoring run in the 4th quarter to take back control over the opponent. Turner sank a number of rhythm pullups over the closeout, and attacked the lane hard to convert some tough layups. Lethal attacking the paint in transition, using his size and speed to beat the defense to the rim. Valiant second-half performance that helped his MVP case for the game.

just recently re-classed from 2027, so the Prep Hoops team of scouts decided upon a #32 debut ranking in a deep 2026 class following the move. Turner boasts his ability to score the ball and does it with an unlimited array of scoring moves. He can pullup in the midrange efficiently and easily due to his size and quickness on the ball. Eric can handle the ball and create for himself nicely in the halfcourt when in rhythm, making him a huge threat on the wing for any opposing off-guard. Turner slashes the lane well and shows good feel for getting his shots off. The Hampton commit shows true flashes of brilliance in his game, only scratching the surface of the player he could become in some years.

Turner showed a few flashes of why he is the #2 shooting guard in his Maryland/DC 2027 class. He has nice size and he used it to his advantage when getting to his shots. Had a nice stepback jumper after a smooth size-up to freeze the defender. He dribbled through traffic well at times, maintaining enough control to get to a pull-up or layup. Didn’t make a lot of his normal baskets, but he was able to get to his spots just the same. Has nice form and a high release that makes him a potent scorer when he’s in rhythm.

13p 4a 3r 2s 1b vs St. John’s
-Love Turner’s ability to break his matchup down off the bounce or bully them on his way to the rim, leveraging a strong frame to beat his opponent to his spots. The skill level is advanced for a guard his age, and he is developing the feel for when to pass and when his team needs him to score in certain spots. Defensively, he has improved a bit on the ball but needs to lock in on rotations, help responsibilities, and long closeouts on shooters after digs down in the paint. Bright future ahead of him.
