-While still relatively raw at the offensive end of the floor, Tchueffa has a move or two in his bag know to score off of post catches in traffic or offensive rebounds. His ability to rebound the basketball and protect the rim with good positional size is huge in a league that doesn’t have a ton of forward prospects. Love the motor that he plays with and his team-first approach to taking on whatever nightly tasks his team needs from him as a screener, mobile W/F defender, and lob/roll threat in the key. There are the tools to a really productive HS forward prospect and he’s starting to put it together, excited to see how he develops over the next few months!

8p 13r (6 offensive) 2b (4/7 FG) vs Dunbar

-Tchueffa’s development as a rebounder and defensive anchor cannot be understated as one of the more physical W/F tweeners in DC basketball. His timing on the glass leads to him coming up with some big rebounds in traffic and he’s developed a much better feel for when he needs to go right back out and when he needs to kick it out to a teammate on the perimeter. He’s most comfortable scoring with a right hook over his left shoulder but also showed the vertical leaping gifts on a putback and reverse finish in traffic. If he can continue to develop more of a feel for when to remain vertical to avoid foul calls when defending savvy opposing guards, he should enjoy more extended runs of playing time on the floor to show his 2-way impact.

The bouncy forward at Coolidge should see a few more minutes per night in this new year. He contributes energy and hustle to the team at all times. Andre can rebound well and never seems to run out of energy while on the floor. Knows where to be offensively and capitalizes consistently with dunkers’ spot finishes and putback layups off the glass. Andre has good timing and vertical at his size and can block a lot of shots. Runs the floor in transition and embraces contact at the rim.
