EJ Popoola stays in attack mode. He is constantly applying rim pressure and can use his pivot foot effectively once he’s in the paint. You can tell he works on his craft routinely, and he has a knack for slipping by defenders even when they think they have him contained. As a defender, he frequently swatted shots, recording at least two or three blocks in a couple of the games I watched. I’m becoming a big fan of his game, as he consistently brings a lot to the table on both ends of the floor.

EJ is a very dynamic 3 level scorer that makes his teammate’s lives easier. He uses his athleticism and IQ to create his own shot, and uses quality footwork when he needs to pivot. He also dropped in some nice off the dribble 3-pointers, threw down multiple dunks/alley-oops, and got his teammates involved with slick assists. Expect more colleges to take a closer look at this Palisades prospect.

The nimble shooting guard was attacking the hoop with some purpose and made one shot after another for Palisades. Including a couple of dunks and 3-pointers. Although the Dolphins didn’t grab the win, I liked what I saw from him and was a fan of how he competed.

EJ Popoola was another player that I was impressed by. He makes it look easy at times on offense and he knows how to utilize his athleticism. You can also tell that he has a good feel for the game, as he’s usually in a good spot to score or he can dish it to an open teammate. On defense, he can cover quick PGs and he uses his vertical to grab boards.

There is a lot to like about EJ Popoola EJ Popoola 6'5" | SF Palisades | 2027 State CA-S ‘s game. On offense, he is a solid shooter and knows to play off of 2 feet. When it comes to his defense, he hustles for loose balls and fights for rebounds. Keep him on your radar.

Popoola is a talented player with the ball in his hands. He could have earned minutes last year on most squads, however he bided his time on a loaded Arbor team. His ability to shoot it and create for himself, combined with his experience make him prime for a breakout.
