put on a show against Desert Pines at the Tarkanian Classic. The nimble shooting guard was attacking the hoop with some purpose and made one shot after another for Palisades. Including a couple of dunks and 3-pointers. Although the Dolphins didn’t grab the win, I liked what I saw from him and was a fan of how he competed.

EJ Popoola was another player that I was impressed by. He makes it look easy at times on offense and he knows how to utilize his athleticism. You can also tell that he has a good feel for the game, as he’s usually in a good spot to score or he can dish it to an open teammate. On defense, he can cover quick PGs and he uses his vertical to grab boards.

Popoola is a talented player with the ball in his hands. He could have earned minutes last year on most squads, however he bided his time on a loaded Arbor team. His ability to shoot it and create for himself, combined with his experience make him prime for a breakout.

It’s been much to long since I’ve seen one of the state’s most dynamic players. He’s shifty with some terrific finishing ability. His two way ability is something to keep an eye out for, as the guard will lock up full court.
