Donaven is instant offense. The microwave came off the bench to deliver to quick threes in the first quarter en route to 12 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block. Serving as a super sixth man, Thomas changes the momentum of games when inserted. He’s a true three-level scorer who finds points off the catch and off the bounce. D-II programs should be familiar with his game.

There are few guys around the state, much less the country, that put up the scoring numbers Donaven Thomas Donaven Thomas 6'2" | CG Grayson | 2026 State GA did this summer. Thomas went for 40+ points on multiple occasions, with both Maynard Jackson in June and the Griffin Grasshoppers in July. He’s proven capable of knocking down tough shots off the dribble from all over the floor and when Thomas sees a couple go through, he can get very hot. Thomas looks ready to take the reins at Maynard Jackson this year and he’ll be tabbed a breakout candidate by many.

Donaven had a very productive, sophomore season for his Jackson Jaguars. The 6’2″ combo guard is just that…a combo guard. He has the ability to handle to the ball under pressure and be a playmaker when needed and be a 3-level scorer, forces opposing coaches to use their best defenders to guard him. He pushes the ball well in transition and looks to create scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. In the first round of the state playoffs, he scored 25 points, on the road, against #1 seeded Clarke Central. He’s a kid that can play at the next level, especially as he adds muscle to his frame and become more physical on his drives. Donaven is definitely one the top players in the class of 2026 in Georgia.
