Expert Analysis
Davis McCarn | Prep Hoops Scout
Lopresti is a guy I have been following for a while now and he seems to get better every time I watch him play. He has had a dominate month of June doing what he does best. Scoring the ball at a high level from outside and in the pick and roll game while dishing it out at a high level and showing his true ability to play point guard at a high level. This past weekend he had two dominate performances in the On the Radar X Southern Hoops Report shootout, he tallied 37 points in his first game and followed it up with another monster performance in game two as he finished with 32 points. Lopresti just continues to show why he is one of the best underrated point guards in all of the state.

He’s quietly becoming one of the most underrated prospects in the state of Georgia and is the type of player more people need to start paying attention to. A true point guard at heart, he plays with a winning mentality and impacts the game in just about every area possible. His feel for the game and basketball IQ stand out immediately, whether he’s controlling tempo, creating for teammates, or making the right read under pressure. As a scorer, he’s capable of hurting defenses from all three levels, knocking down shots from deep, getting to his midrange spots, and finishing effectively at the rim. He plays with confidence, composure, and the kind of leadership you want running a team. The production and upside are both there, and he’s absolutely a player whose stock should continue to rise moving forward.

I’ve been watching Lopresti since his middle school days, and he continues to prove people wrong every time he steps on the floor. Even as a smaller guard, he refuses to let his size define his impact on the game. Lopresti is a true gamer who is putting together a breakout spring with his confidence and production. He plays with outstanding floor awareness, makes smart decisions, and finishes creatively around the rim despite bigger defenders. What makes him so dangerous is his ability to score at all three levels while still maintaining the mindset of a floor general. He can knock down shots from the outside at a high clip, create offense for teammates, and control the tempo of the game. Add in his vocal leadership and competitive edge, and it’s easy to see why he’s such an important piece for this loaded SEBA 16U squad.

LoPresti showed a strong balance between scoring and facilitating. He got to his spots comfortably, rising up for pull-up jumpers while also dissecting defenses with sharp passes. His bounce passes in traffic were especially effective. He shot the ball well from deep when playing off the ball and held his own defensively with solid positioning and awareness. A pass-first guard evolving into a scoring threat.
