Gonzolaz is a fast paced guard with a lot of long-term upside and a strong feel for the game. His basketball IQ and understanding of spacing allow him to slip behind defenses and take advantage of off-ball movement opportunities. With the ball in his hands, he changes speeds extremely well, mixing patience with explosive bursts that make him difficult to contain. He finishes smartly off two feet and consistently plays under control around the basket. Gonzolaz also showed touch with a turnaround floater and short jumper that seemed automatic throughout the night. He impacts the game in a variety of ways and continues to show why he’s a name college coaches should keep track of moving forward.
