Claussen is long, athletic and runs the floor well for a big man. He uses his footwork down low to create passing lanes and has multiple post moves to create a high percentage shot. Claussen can keep bigs on the perimeter as he is a threat to knock down a shot from beyond the arc. His anticipation is a top notch allowing him to jump passing lanes and block shots. After a strong summer, Claussen had multiple offers before committing to Washburn University. He will be the next big man to keep the Bluejays in title contention.

As a point forward, he not only has the ability to contest shots at the rim but also contributes on the offensive end, averaging 11.2 points per game last season. Dillon led all Class A juniors in blocks and led his team in that category along with rebounds, showcasing his defensive prowess. With excellent ball-handling skills, vision, and the capability to knock down shots from deep, he’s a well-rounded player who can make plays from various positions. Keep an eye on him as he enters his senior season, as he’s poised to draw the attention of college recruiters.

Claussen went from the watch list, to an appearance in the top 10. He is deserving of everything he has received, plus more. Currently, Claussen holds a couple of Division two offers from programs in the state. I expect more attention to come his way, as he will look to have a big senior season with a well coached and talented Creighton Prep team.
