The Bluejays lost a couple of their top guards in Rieschl and Newbill and will need a Toliver to step up in distributing to a hot prospect from summer in Dillon Claussen Dillon Claussen 6’8″ | PF Creighton Prep | 2024 State NE . Toliver is terrific off the dribble and has a knack for making solid passes inside the lane. He can finish with both hands around the rim and shoot with consistency from distance, along with being a solid defender with quick hands. Toliver averaged 5 points; a couple rebounds an assist a game in limited action last year. Look for him to become an integral part of the Bluejay’s success this winter.

A 6’5′ forward with a sweet stroke on the perimeter, Bangs uses his threat of the deep ball to be able to put the ball on the ground and penetrate for easy buckets as well. Bangs has long arms that make challenging his shots difficult whether its a jumper or a layup. He uses his length to his advantage, along with his ball instincts, on the defensive side to block shots. With Claussen in the middle, Bangs could benefit from teams collapsing and use his outside to in offense to get some timely buckets for the Bluejay’s. The measurables are there and colleges will take notice.

A three sport athlete, Eggens averaged a little over 12 points and 9 rebounds a game last season. He has a solid 6’5″ frame with good footwork in the paint. His athleticism and stregth make him a load to handle down there but he has also shown he can step out to knock down shots from range. Any school looking to add some athletic size and toughness will get raw talent that will excel for the Knights this year.

Ahmed’s lengthy frame and speed allow could give defenders trouble staying in front of him this winter. With the number of faces changing places in Lincoln this year, Lincoln Southeast will still have the core of Taye Moore Taye Moore 5’9″ | PG Lincoln Southeast | 2024 State NE , Mike Ngoyi Mike Ngoyi 5’10” | PG Lincoln Southeast | 2025 State NE and Jake Hilkemann Jake Hilkemann 6’4″ | SF Lincoln Southeast | 2024 State NE , but will need help from the role players as the Lincoln area’s talent has grown. This is where Ahmed can step in and make a name for himself by consistent show making and drawing defenders with penetration. Keep an eye on Ahmed.
