All of these guys are incredibly talented with unique skillsets that separate them from the rest of their classmates. Get to know more about these 5 prospects below.
Treyson Anderson Treyson Anderson 6’9″ | C Pius X | 2024 State NE is a stud, and is a big time pickup for the Bison of North Dakota State. At 6’10, Anderson moves really well and is super tough around the rim. He may be the best rebounder in the state of Nebraska, as he averaged over 10 boards a game last season for Pius X. Any 50/50 ball off of the rim is his. In addition, Anderson is a phenomenal rim protector. Anderson was hurt for a good chunk of the summer. When he came back to play the last couple weeks, he was incredibly dominant. Look for Anderson to have a breakout senior season this winter.
Dillon Claussen Dillon Claussen 6’8″ | PF Creighton Prep | 2024 State NE was the biggest stock riser in the rankings this time around. Claussen went from the watch list, to an appearance in the top 10. He is deserving of everything he has received, plus more. Currently, Claussen holds a couple of Division two offers from programs in the state. I expect more attention to come his way, as he will look to have a big senior season with a well coached and talented Creighton Prep team.
Highlights
McCafferty had a big time summer with Omaha Elite. He helped spark their run to the Final Four of the New Balance circuit. McCafferty is an intriguing prospect because he is incredibly skilled inside, but also has a super nice stroke from the outside. In addition, McCafferty has great vision in the post, and can see over the defense because of his size. He will lead a Concordia team hungry for a state title run in class C1.
Kevin Stubblefield Kevin Stubblefield 6’4″ | SF Omaha Westside | 2024 State NE is coming off of a monster year at Omaha Westside, as he averaged 16 and 5. Stubblefield is a scholarship level prospect, with a questionably quiet recruitment. He impacts winning at the highest level, as he can guard the opposing teams best guy while still being incredibly productive at the offensive end. Stubblefield will be a leader on one of the most talented teams in the state this upcoming year. With Tate Odvody graduating, Stubblefield will be called upon even more than he was last season.
Devin Holmon Devin Holmon 6’5″ | PF Omaha Central | 2024 State NE had a great summer with Omaha Elite, as he was another guy that sparked their run to the Final Four of the New Balance circuit. Holmon is an elite defender because of his length, athleticism, and footwork that allows him to guard on the perimeter. Offensively, he has the skillset to score several different ways. Holmon’s versatility should be appealing to scholarship level coaches around the state. Look for him to have a huge senior season this winter.
